Search for the Stars promises to be a wonderful showcase for talented performing artists from prince Albert and area. The lineup features young entertainers from 8 to 18 years of age. Five songwriters were chosen to perform their original numbers. Those people are Katelyn Lehner, Joel Rohs, and Teegan Boyer all from Prince Albert, Kyle Morris from Carrot River and Stephanie Lloyd and Joel Provencher from Debden and Canwood.. In the Senior Category we have Irish Dancer, Marielle Dier from Prince Albert, vocalists, Shandha Burns from Kinistino, Danielle Boulet from Nipawin, and Shania Cabilao and Allison Rae Strong from Prince Albert and one band called ‘The Basement Bunch’ (Katelyn Lehner, Joey Ardell, Hanna Bach, Kienan Holash and Mark Janzen). In the Junior Category there is one band called ‘Resist to Conform with Kobe,Luke and Colten Belhumeur} and three vocalists Relan Meeks and Jayde Laughren from Prince Albert and Janaya Fuller from Shellbrook. The novice category is represented by Colten Belhumeur with a piano solo.

Search for the Stars is a program whose prime goal is to provide a good learning experience for the participants but it is also a contest and, at the end of the concert a Novice, Junior and Senior Star are named as well as a songwriter of the year.

Broadway North -Summer Intensive Theatre Summer Camp

August 12 - 16

Come and stretch your artistic talent and have a great time this summer. This 5 day Performing Arts camp will be held at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan from August 12 to 16. Students will take classes in singing, acting and dance showcasing their talent in a show onstage at the end of the week. This full day or half day program is available to children as young as 6 and adults as well! A detailed daily schedule will be provided upon registration. Lunch hour will be supervised with the students bringing their own lunches to eat at the Rawlinson Centre. Early bird prices in effect until June 15th 2013.
