SEARCH FOR THE STARS 2010 FEEDBACK FROM THE JUDGES
"Being a part of 'Search for the Stars 2010' was such a heart warming and full filling experience. It was a wonderful treat to see the depth and quality of talent amongst the youth who participated. I wish for all of the students involved to have gained some knowledge some confidence and some appreciation for their fellow artists. What a fantastic opportunity to have come together as a united front"
"It was a real honour and a privilege to be a part of the Search for the Stars program. The opportunity to aid in the development of an upcoming generation of artists and performers was at once humbling and gratifying.
Watching the artistic growth which took place in the participants was really inspiring. It was great to see the kids really bite into our feedback, and put it into practice. I know that every performer walked out of the experience with a better handle on their art than they had walking in, and that is an amazing feeling.
The passing on of knowledge and expertise to the younger generation is essentially what culture and community are all about. I feel that this event was not so much contributing to the artistic community in Prince Albert, as it was helping to create it."
"Great things will come from the Search for Stars endeavour.I found it difficult to be a judge. I found it much easier to help the wonderful talented individuals become better at showing their talent. I only wish that they all could have received a prize, just for taking part. I guess, that is what the prize is.. the being part of the program. Getting the stage experience, coaching, encouragement. The spark that may ignite a great career,or,a lifetime of musical appreciation. Not so shabby."
