Hillbilly Homestead

Hillbilly Homestead

January 28th - 2:30 PM

Hillbilly Comedy and Country Music is a Hillbilly Homestead production. Proceeds from the show will go to expanding the seating floor to accommodate listeners and dancers! The songs are the main attraction, comedy is included with Minnie Pearl skits and Archie Campbell spoonerisms. Join us for an afternoon of the finest hour in country music!!

Audrey Neubuhr - Dedicated to keeping the old songs alive Audrey plays an autoharp and does a fine tribute to Minnie Pearl. Has been entertaining most of her life, a proud member of the Classic Country show from 2001 - 2009. She enjoys entertaining in senior citizen homes and hosting concerts at Hillbilly Homestead.

Stacy Neubuhr - Stacy is a real entertainer. Someone may ask for a song they haven't heard in years and more than likely Stacy knows it. He's a bee keeper, loves to fish, hunt and trap. So glad he can fit country songs into his busy life!

Layla Sten - Layla started singing two years ago, she has a wonderful gift in her voice and puts her heart and soul into each song. Layla is a crowd pleaser and a devoted hockey Mom from Star City!

Becky Wilson - she's a little miss dynamite fiddle player! Her enthusiasm and energy get your foot tapping and hands clapping! Her style is infectious and she's only 10 years old! From Shellbrook Becky is a delight to see.

Rod Gjerde - Rod has been entertaining all his life and is a fan of traditional country music. His velvet vocal chords and love for Merle Haggard songs make him a favorite. Rod comes to us from Canwood.

Mykal Gambull - The Outlaw era was big in the '60's. Mykal's style is very reminiscent of Waylon, Willie and Kris Kristopherson. Mykal's is a listening crowd, he gives 100% to his audience. He plays a mean guitar, writes songs and is a pleasure to listen to.

Jody Giesbrecht - He's a country boy, rides horses and keeps critters. Jody is also a polished musician and plays in a Texas swing band. The guitar, bass, harmonica, dobro and steel guitar are his instruments of choice - he sings too! Jody is a much welcomed addition to our show.

Kerri English - Kerri has been playing fiddle all her life, she teaches fiddle music and has had Becky Wilson in her class for five years! A wonderful musician and fantastic person.

Boyd Faulconer - A pleasure to have in the band! Boyd can play anything on bass, lead guitar and banjo to name a few! The stand up bass is a favorite at Hillbilly Homestead concerts.

Craig Williams - Craig is from MacDowall, he has played drums with many bands for years. Very talented and a nice guy too!

Lynn Tunstall - People can remember Lynn playing guitar for the jigging and fiddle contests held at the Winter Festival many years ago. Today she plays in Senior Citizen homes, at Hillbilly Homestead and whenever she can!
